All, I had to share this video of me tapping the last 3 gallons of the Elizabeth Street Bitter brewed at 21st Amendment for the GABF Pro-Am earlier this Fall. I debated putting this video up because it proves that I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. The beer, on the other hand, was [...]

Well, gang. I’m typing this from our “pub garden”, with the Sunday evening NFL game about to start. Our kids are playing here in the backyard and I’m wondering if the last three days in Denver really happened. Thankfully, I have the video footage to prove that it did. You already saw what happened on [...]

Well gang, We made it. Our first day of our first ever Great American Beer Festival was indeed a memorable one. As we approached the Convention Center (a short 2-block walk from our hotel) the energy was building and more and more beer bellies were coming into view. A wonderful site. The line for the [...]

As you know, we pride ourselves on being a pub “for the people, by the people.” With that in mind, we’re going to start taking brew polls to determine what gets brewed at the pub from time to time. All, For those of you that have been following the ESB since the beginning, you’ll know that our unofficial house band is The Famous (we even emptied our front room one New Years Eve and they performed live to welcome the New Year). Unfortunately, we don’t have a license that allows us to book live [...]
All, I wanted to let you know that I’ll be brewing our Elizabeth Street Bitter recipe with the 21st Amendment crew this coming Saturday, August 1 at their brewpub near the SF Giants ballpark. Using their 12-barrel system, we’ll be starting early in the morning but will still be definitely well into the brew when [...]

All, It is with great excitement and anticipation that I share some pretty cool news with you all. The folks at 21st Amendment Brewpub and Restaurant have selected our ESB recipe as their entry to this year’s Pro-Am tournament at the Great American Beer Festival in late September. The Pro-Am tournament joins an amateur brewer [...]

All, Contrary to perception here on the blog, we are still very much alive and kicking over at the Elizabeth Street Brewery. Granted, the majority of our communication is currently being done via Twitter (@ESBAle), so if you’re not on there you may have missed our past 2 open houses. One of which was this [...]
